Our Story

Crafting Time For A Finer Tomorrow

Time has never been merely a measure. It is memory. Heritage. The quiet dialogue between hand, material, and mechanism.

Recanati, 1912

The name Ottaviani carries with it a lineage of Italian craftsmanship that began in Recanati in 1912, when Eraclio Ottaviani — himself a watchmaker — established a workshop devoted to gold, silver, and the art of precious objects. Over generations that house grew into one of Italy’s historic names in jewelry and silverwork, recognised today among the nation’s historic brands of national interest.

An Inheritance

As a distant relative of that family, I inherited not a company, but a sensibility: an instinct for proportion, for enduring materials, and for the silent perfection that only patient hands can achieve. That instinct found its deepest expression in the architecture of Swiss mechanical movements — their balance, their permanence, their refusal of the ephemeral.

Vilnius, 2015

In 2015 I left Italy for Vilnius, following the woman who would become the constant of my life. There, at a measured distance from the traditional ateliers, Ottempo was born: an independent atelier where every component is conceived, shaped, and finished by hand.

Ottempo

Ottempo stands at the intersection of Italian sensibility and Swiss precision. Each timepiece is a contemporary meditation on time itself — rooted in a jewelry heritage that began with a watchmaker, refined through solitude and exacting patience, and governed by a single, unyielding standard: objects that outlast fashion and speak in the language of permanence. Crafting time for a finer tomorrow.
